Show puts history on local stage

An event starting in early March is bringing a long gone period of history to life through a special production. Ham Lake residents are sure to enjoy this educational and entertaining experience.

Dinosaur World Live is a show from Nicoll Entertainment. In the production, a paleontologist takes the crowd on a journey through types of the popular prehistoric creatures, teaching everyone about their different builds, behaviors, and needs. Some of the dinosaurs may even say hello to the audience members.

The creatures are operated by a team of skilled puppeteers, which is led by Laura Cubitt. The look and mechanics of the puppets were designed by Max Humphries. The director and writer of the show is Derek Bond.

After each performance, guests will have a chance to interact right up close with one of the dinosaurs.

Tickets are available through the website for the Children’s Theatre Company. There are 26 total showings in March, including previews. Overall, there are 32 performances across the entire run of the show. Prices for the March dates range between $25 and $114. The production is family friendly.

The venue is the United Health Group Stage, which is located in Minneapolis, a short distance from Ham Lake. Flyer printing is a common promotion technique for stage shows. The start times are 11:00am, 2:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm. The March shows are on the 3rd - 8th, 12th - 15th, 19th - 22nd, and the 26th - 29th.
