Entertainer to give live spoken word performance in Ham Lake

Ham Lake residents can tune into a broadcast from the Anoka County Library in April to watch an experienced poet perform live.

Those who enjoy spoken word performances can attend a live show performed by Frank Sentwali. He is the creator of the group Edo-Poetic Enterbrainment, which is a music and spoken word ensemble based in the Twin Cities. Sentwali was initially a tutor and mentor, though he has transitioned into presenting programs at local schools through his Sentwali Entertainment Education Division series (S.E.E.D.). The broadcast will premiere on the library’s Facebook page.

Edo-Poetic Enterbrainment uses poetry and music to teach people about morality and self-reliance. Sentwali’s program also discusses the importance of hip-hop culture and how it has influenced American society. There are many courses taught by the poet, including Introduction to the Spoken Word and Rhythm & Rhyme. His shows can be viewed by students in early elementary school to high school. Performers like this can use Print shops for marketing their future events.

Frank Sentwali will be performing on Sunday, April 4th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. People can watch the live broadcast from the Anoka County Library’s Facebook page. Those unable to make the performance can still watch the program for two weeks after it airs. No registration or payment is needed to view the show.
