A holiday-themed 5K is in the works for Fenton, with runners and other active individuals who want a memorable celebration invited to dust off their running shoes and attend.
The 2024 JingleJog 5K Run and Walk has an official start date on the calendar, with runners and walkers welcome to participate next month. The 5K, which is sponsored by local staples Financial Plus Credit Union, McLaren Fenton, and Vic Bond Sales, is aiming to provide a fun way to get outdoors and celebrate the holidays with like-minded individuals.
Registration will close on November 24th, and interested parties are encouraged to reserve a spot while they remain open. Awards will be available to the men, women, and children who finish in first place for each category. Banner printing is a memorable way to promote the event’s sponsors while welcoming participants to the finish line.
Registered guests will need to pick up their 5K packet from the Fenton and Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce the day before the race begins. Each participant will also receive a commemorative shirt with the price of registration. The course will be mostly flat and on paved surfaces.
The run will begin behind the Fenton United Methodist Church Family Life Center on Saturday, December 7th, starting at 3:00 PM. Registration is open online, and tickets cost $30 per participant.
