Garden party to raise funds for worthy cause in Fenton

A garden party is being planned for the Fenton area next month, and outdoor enthusiasts wanting to support a good cause are encouraged to attend.

The Garden Party Fundraiser for Urban Vine will kick off in a few weeks. The event aims to raise funds to support special needs individuals in the Fenton area. Money raised at the party will be used to create adaptable and safe working environments for these individuals in the community.

The garden party will feature a keynote speaker, with award-winning author Wade Rouse attending and giving a speech. Rouse plans to treat attendees to a reading from his latest book, “The Heirloom Garden,” and will talk about his decision to use his grandmother’s name as his penname.

The garden party will feature live music in addition to the keynote speaker. A jazz band will provide entertainment, and a silent auction will include items from Fenton’s Open Book. Flyer printing is an effective way to spread the word about such fundraisers in the community.

The event’s organizers encourage all attendees wear garden party attire, though it is not required for entry.

The Fenton Community and Cultural Center will host the party on Monday, July 29, at 6:00 PM. Tickets start at $40 per guest, and reservations can be booked online through sites like Eventbrite.
