Beach glass art workshop makes stop in Fenton
A holiday–themed workshop is on the horizon in Fenton, offering interested parties the resources and knowledge to create decorations for friends and family.
The Beach Glass Christmas Trees workshop is officially scheduled for next month. This workshop will help Fenton residents take another step toward preparing and decorating for the holiday season. The event will be centered around a party that will help each guest create their own unique beach glass Christmas tree to take home.
The glass is produced by the turbulent waters of the nearby lakes, which encounter coarse sand and polish it into impressive pieces of smooth glass. Instructors will provide the polished glass to attendees and offer step-by-step instructions to create a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree ornament. Brochure printing is a fabulous resource to aid attendees and convey knowledge about the creation process for such pieces.
All supplies are provided with the registration fee, and the finished tree will be an estimated nine inches tall. A mini starfish and lights will also be provided to help guests decorate the glass and add the final touches to the tree. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and enjoy conversations with friends and neighbors throughout.
The Suzanne Haskew Arts Center will host the workshop on Sunday, November 17th, starting at 10:00 AM. Tickets are $65 per guest and can be purchased online.
