Farmington Hills is set to continue hosting a yearlong children’s nature program this April.
The Farmington Hills Nature Center organized this event as an educational program for children that encourages curiosity and learning through various nature exploration activities. The center offers a wide range of camps and activities for children throughout the year as well as events for adults that involve live animals, exhibits, and outings at Heritage Park.
Previous topics this outdoor exploration series has covered since January include snow birds, snowshoeing, and “Maple’s Sweet Story.” Next month’s event will focus on geocaching and is suitable for children between ages 5 to 11.
Admission is priced at $8 for residents of Farmington Hills and $13 for non-residents. All children must arrive for this drop-off event well dressed in suitable clothing for outdoor exploration and the weather conditions. The hosts of related events often prefer brochure printing, which is a popular means of creating printouts for guests that feature essential information on offered activities.
Precautions in place throughout the duration of the event include health screening inquiries and mandatory temperature Checks. Each child will also need to practice social distancing and wear facemasks.
The fourth activity in the Junior Naturalists Club is scheduled to take place at Heritage Park between 10:00 am and 11:30 am on Saturday, April 10.
