Clothing and fun will be the focus of a community event in the new year.
ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival will be a community-oriented clothing swap event. Attendees are welcome to bring clothing, shoes, and accessories of all kinds, whatever their age, gender, or sizes. It will be a family-friendly event that will welcome the community to come and refresh their closets while having fun with friends.
The cost of admission to the festival is $25. This gives attendees unlimited access to clothing Bags as well as the chance to attend any workshops or activities. Volunteers are responsible for processing and organizing the donated items, allowing participants to focus on browsing and selecting items for their own use. At the end of the festival, the leftover clothing is donated to Detroit area non-profit groups. Over 38,000lbs of clothing has been donated to Metro Detroit non-profits through the Revamp Clothing Swap to date.
In addition to the clothing swap, there will be entertainment in the form of live music from local artists. Workshops and activities will focus on upcycling, creativity, and sustainable style. Flyer printing is often used to share details about an upcoming event.
The ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival is scheduled to take place at 26000 Evergreen Road near Farmington Hills on Saturday, January 17 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST.
