Farmington Hills calls for art submissions

City officials in Farmington Hills are looking for aspiring artists to make contributions to the city’s Public Art Program.

The Hawk, the city's leisure and arts center, and Farmington Hills City Hall are the two venues where this exhibition provides local artists with a chance to display their artwork in busy public areas where many people will get to see them each year. Submissions for the exhibition cycle of 2025–2027 are now being considered.

Artists are encouraged to submit a single application online to any or both locations. All Forms of art are accepted, including fiber, mixed media, pottery, digital art, glass, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture for both indoors and outdoors. Printing services can be used to Print large artwork.

Rachel Timlin, who serves the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department as the cultural arts supervisor, commented to say:



“Whether you’re a painter or a potter or anywhere in between, you know art is powerful. It inspires creativity, stimulates productive dialogues, evokes emotion and builds bridges.”




The deadline for submitting an application to be displayed in Farmington Hills City Hall is September 15. Submissions will be reviewed by a jury once the application window is closed, and the winners will be informed of their acceptance. On October 4, the chosen artists will be recognized by the Farmington Area Art Awards.
