Halloween coming early to Farmington

Halloween is coming early this year, thanks to the Farmington Area Jaycees, who are holding a costume party and fundraiser

soon. According to an article in Home Town Life, the event, titled “Halloween in June,” is to help the Jaycees increase their membership, as well as becoming more involved in the Farmington community.

The group, which rechartered itself earlier this year, also hopes to restart some of the events for which it was known. Finally, according to Jaymi Dormaier, the Jaycees' head, they also hope to find new ways to serve others. The money raised by the event will help them achieve these goals, and all the money will go back to the Farmington and Farmington Hills communities.

Anyone over the age of 21 is welcome to attend the event, which features refreshments including a “candy bar.” There is a costume contest with a GoPro camera as one prize, and a membership to Farmington Hills' 9Round Fitness Center as another. The party is this weekend on June 11.

The party will also allow people to learn about the Jaycees and their activities, such as the tree lighting that kicks off the holiday season. The organization hopes people from ages 21 to 40 will consider joining.

Many service organizations like to highlight the good work they do, and brochure printing companies are ideally situated to create easy-to-understand materials that explain their principles and practices.
