Farmington celebrates art with contest

The Parkland community recently gathered once again for the second Plein Air Art Show and Contest, an occasion held at Farmington's Community Garden to honor creativity.

Attendees of all ages joined forces at the gathering to engage in the creation of art, collaborating with other local artists stationed throughout the garden in Farmington Hills, as they skillfully translated their visions onto canvas.

Many families gathered at the event, with both children and adults eagerly engaging in the painting contest, infusing their imaginative creations with vitality and joy. Local musician Marshall E. James was there to serenade the crowd with live music, while water and snacks were provided.

The event was proudly sponsored by First State Community Bank with a $300 contribution as prize money. Following nearly six hours of dedicated painting, the judges assessed the artwork and declared the winners in both the children's and adult's categories.
