Greg Sestero, an actor best known for his role as Mark in the popular cult film “The Room,” will be holding a Q&A session near Farmington Hills in March. This session will follow a screening of the movie.
Sestero was inspired to become an actor at the age of 12 after receiving an encouraging letter from John Hughes after he sent him a screenplay. From there, he pursued modeling and then acting. He landed some minor film and TV roles before meeting with the director of The Room, Tommy Wiseau.
The 2003 film centers on a melodramatic love triangle between three characters. Branded among the worst films in existence by multiple publications, it has achieved cult status in the years since.
Sestero originally did not want to perform in the film, but Wiseau managed to convince him. He has since deflected most of the film's criticism and accepted the situation with humor. He has also written a memoir about the film's production entitled “The Disaster Artist,” which was adapted into a 2017 film.
The Q&A and film screening event will take place on Saturday, March 5, at the Royal Oak Music Theater at 7:00 pm. Tickets prices will range from $15 to $35. Fans that visit events like these may want to use poster printing services to create Posters for their favorite celebrities to sign.
