R&B artist to get Frederick in the groove

Artist Brian Culbertson will give a performance at the Weinburg Center for the Arts in Frederick in April. He will be joined by artists Marqueal Jordan and Marcus Anderson.

Culbertson began his journey as a musical artist in 1994. He debuted with the chart-topping album Long Night Out, which he reportedly recorded in his college apartment. This gave him the leeway to sign his first recording deal.

Over his decades of activity, he has released over 20 albums. Within these are 30 Billboard No. 1 singles. For his efforts, he has also won several awards, including the six he won at the 2011 Oasis Smooth Jazz Awards, which include Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.

Marcus Anderson is a Grammy and Stellar Award-nominated saxophonist. He has charted number one several times in both the Billboard Smooth Jazz and Sirius XM’S Watercolors lists. In addition, he has performed with several top artists including Stevie Wonder, CeeLo Green, and Lailah Hathaway.

Marqueal Jordan is a saxophonist and vocalist who has had two of his singles debut in the Top 20 of the Billboard Smooth Jazz Singles chart. Along with performing alongside Culbertson, he has also performed with such top artists as Aretha Franklin and The Isley Brothers.

The performance will take place on Wednesday, April 6, at 7:30 pm. The Weinburg Center is located at 20 West Patrick Street. Theatre venues like this may be interested in Letterheads to give a professional edge to the correspondence they send out.
