Bojangles to open in Frederick

A well-loved chain of fried chicken restaurants is opening a new location in Frederick.

The restaurant is called Bojangles. It is being tipped to move into a vacant spot in the Golden Mile that was once used by Ruby Tuesdays. The marketplace where the restaurant will open is on West Patrick Street.

Shantey Demar, the Golden Mile Alliance’s president, revealed in a statement that she feels Bojangles is a great addition because it gives the community another option of somewhere to eat. She is also quite happy to see that the vacant space has been filled. Banner printing can be used when opening a new store like this one.

The Golden Mile Alliance was formed in 2011. Its stated goal is to foster and promote a safe and vibrant community through neighborhood, economic, and business activities. The Alliance’s board consists of residents, property and business owners, and representatives from the mayor’s office and the Economic Development departments.

The site has been used as a site for eateries for decades. Aerial photographs of the area taken in 2005 show that the building and its parking areas look the same now as they did back then. Bojangles would like to make a few changes, such as increasing the number of available parking spaces to 34.

Bojangles currently operates more than 750 restaurants in 14 different states.
