Race event returns to Columbia
The Columbia Duathlon event is set to take place in April.
This event is for both seasoned competitors and newcomers, as it will offer a fast but mostly flat route.
There will be an adult and youth division. The adult course will consist of a two-mile run, a ten-mile cycling segment, and a concluding two-mile run. The youth division will be split into two age groups where competitors aged 7 to 10 will complete a half-mile run, a two-mile bike ride, and a second half-mile run, while those between 11 and 15 years old will follow a similar format with a one-mile final run.
Registration is currently open and attendees should note that registration prices increase as race day approaches. For pricing information and to register, attendees can visit the Run Sign Up listing. Registrations cannot be completed on the day of the race, and transfers and refunds are not allowed. Volunteers are also being sought for the day and can express their interest via the Rip It Events listing.
Registration fees include a commemorative shirt and a finisher’s medal. Banner printing may be used by organizers to mark the course of events such as this one.
The Columbia Duathlon, sanctioned by USA Triathlon, will be held on Sunday, April 13, starting at 9:00 am at 7000 Columbia Gateway Dr., Columbia, Maryland.
