All-female tribute marks milestone in Columbia
This January, an all-women rock ensemble known for its powerful reinterpretations of Led Zeppelin’s catalog will commemorate a major milestone in rock history.
Lez Zeppelin, internationally recognized for its high-energy performances and endorsed by Led Zeppelin’s own Jimmy Page, is launching a concert series honoring the 50th anniversary of the band’s celebrated concert film The Song Remains the Same.
The group plans to perform the film’s full soundtrack, along with a presentation inspired by the actual 1976 release. The show aims to recreate the spirit of Led Zeppelin’s 1973 Madison Square Garden performances, highlighting the improvisation and intensity that made the recordings iconic. Band founder Steph Paynes noted that the music from the film holds deep significance for longtime fans, describing the project as both a tribute and a demanding artistic undertaking.
Audiences can expect live renditions of classics such as “No Quarter,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” “Dazed and Confused,” and “Stairway to Heaven.” The event is designed as an immersive experience for devoted listeners and newcomers alike.
Tickets are priced at $50.91 and can be bought through the Eventbrite listing. No refunds will be provided for this event.
Local venues often use poster printing to promote large-scale live events of this kind, ensuring strong community visibility and turnout.
The performance will take place on January 8th at 7:30 pm at The Collective – Encore, 10221 Wincopin Circle, Columbia, Maryland.
