A one-of-a-kind art event is set to take place in College Park, a short distance from Beltsville.
Paint Amore is the host for an upcoming painting and social event. Although this type of “paint and sip” event is becoming more popular throughout the country, this adults-only session gives budding artists the chance to do something different and create a painting that is truly unique. People who come to this event will use neon blacklight and glow in the dark paint to do their artwork, resulting in paintings that fluoresce under black light. The painting party is scheduled late at night to add to the eerie feeling.
As the event is open to people of all abilities, all anyone needs is an interest in having fun and doing something totally different. The hosts allow video recordings to be made and photos to be taken, and the fee includes seating and all supplies necessary to finish a painting. Organizers of events like this could consider using flyer printing to create instructional handouts for students.
The Midnight Glow and Chill - The Blacklight Paint Social series of painting workshops is ongoing, with lots of opportunities to have fun. Sessions in October begin Friday, October 6, at Oblivion Art House on 49th Avenue in College Park, at 11.00 pm. If the late hour is unsuitable for some people, Paint Amore does have events scheduled earlier in the evening.
