Beltsville pizza workshop offers culinary training

A three-hour pizza-making class in Beltsville will give attendees an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of crafting traditional pies under the direction of an experienced chef.

The session is designed for adults interested in gaining practical skills, from preparing dough to finishing a fully baked pizza.

The program begins with an overview of pizza’s historical roots, followed by guided instruction on creating dough from raw ingredients. Participants will prepare their own batch, receive a portion to take home, and learn proper shaping and tossing techniques. After assembling and baking their pizzas, attendees will sample their creations onsite.

Two ticket types are available: $150 for standard admission and $175 for the option that includes alcohol. Class size is limited to 15 participants, and early registration is encouraged.

Community-centered programs such as this one may promote their offerings through poster printing and other visual outreach tools to ensure residents are aware of upcoming educational events.

The workshop will be led by Chef Dave Binkle, a veteran of institutional food service operations and recipient of multiple professional certifications. His background includes leadership positions within major universities, healthcare, and school district food programs. Participants will also receive a Pizza University certificate, a chef jacket and apron, opportunities to connect with other attendees, and access to guidance after the course ends.

The class is scheduled for January 15 from 6 pm to 9 pm at 10310 Southard Drive in Beltsville, Maryland.
