Pizza lovers will have the opportunity to learn from a professional chef during an interactive three-hour pizza-making session in Beltsville.
The recreational class invites participants to dive into the art and history of crafting authentic pizza, offering a hands-on culinary experience from dough to oven. Led by Chef Dave Binkle - an accredited culinary expert recognized for his extensive background in institutional dining, television appearances, and leadership in food innovation - the class promises a memorable evening of education and indulgence.
Attendees will explore the origins of pizza before preparing and shaping their own dough using classic techniques, including traditional dough tossing. Participants will then personalize and bake their creations, culminating in a tasting session of their freshly made pizzas. Chef Binkle’s instruction combines professional insight with an approachable, engaging style, ensuring both beginners and seasoned cooks leave with practical skills and new confidence in the kitchen. Each guest will receive a Pizza University Certificate, a chef jacket, and an apron, along with access to networking opportunities and continued post-class support.
Event organizers may use poster printing to promote culinary workshops like this, helping spread awareness and build community excitement for hands-on learning experiences.
Registration is limited to 15 participants. Tickets are priced at $150 per person and $175 with alcohol included. The event will take place on Friday, December 5th, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Pizza University and Culinary Arts, 10310 Southard Dr, Beltsville, Maryland.
