Mobile pizza training targets Beltsville

A three-day professional training program in Maryland is set to provide an intensive pathway for entrepreneurs seeking to enter the mobile pizza industry.

The Mobile Pizzeria: How to Launch and Operate a Successful Pizza Trailer Business class is designed to combine culinary instruction with practical business education for those aiming to operate wood-fired pizza trailers.

The course places strong emphasis on hands-on skill development. Participants will learn dough preparation using preferments such as biga and poolish, temperature management for wood-fired ovens, and efficient stretching techniques essential for high-volume service. Beyond the kitchen, instruction extends to cost control, mobile kitchen setup, branding strategies, and event marketing, all tailored to the realities of operating a traveling food business.

The program will be led by two internationally recognized pizza professionals: Siler Chapman, a World Pizza Champion four times over, and founder of King of Fire Pizza, along with Leo Spizzirri, a master instructor certified in Italy and an associate of the World Pizza Champions.

Enrollment is limited to 18 participants to maintain an immersive learning environment. Attendees will receive a Pizza University certificate, a chef apron and jacket, access to peer networking, and continued guidance after the class concludes.

Promotional resources, such as poster printing, are commonly used by organizers to highlight professional training opportunities like this within the culinary community.

Registration is priced at $2,100 per individual.

The class runs from February 23rd to 25th, from 9 am to 5 pm at Pizza University & Culinary Arts, 10310 Southard Dr, Beltsville, Maryland.
