Special symposium for young people planned in Beltsville

A conference for young people will be held soon in Beltsville.

The Prince George’s & Montgomery County Chapters of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., have teamed up with the Mighty Rose Foundation to host the upcoming 2024 Sigma Youth Symposium.

The conference will provide students with timely information on topics relevant to young people today. Those attending the conference will leave the meeting with the tools they need to improve their lives emotionally socially, civically, and educationally.

The Mighty Rose Foundation, which was established in 2018, is a non-profit organization. Its goal is to provide communities and families in Prince George’s County with the tools to achieve educational, economic, cultural, civic, and social progress. As part of its mission, the Foundation provides scholarship assistance to deserving Price George’s County residents from all backgrounds. It also conducts forums, workshops, and educational programs that improve the quality of life for residents of the County as well as other communities.

Symposium organizers are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all attendees, and are encouraging everyone to wear masks.

The 2024 Youth Symposium is scheduled for March 9, from 10.00 am until 1.30 pm at High Point High School at 3601 Powder Mill Road in Beltsville. Organizers of events like this will often work with printing companies who use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees.
