One of the biggest days in horse racing is on the schedule, and a party is planned near Beltsville to celebrate.
The Kentucky Derby is coming up and so is the 2023 Derby Experience – Day Party, which will be held at Laurel Park in Laurel, Maryland, a short distance from Beltsville. The Kentucky Derby is the first of three races that comprise the so-called “Triple Crown,” the other two are the Preakness Stakes and the Belmond Stakes. The day features specialty drinks, hookah, vendors, a VIP tent, cigars, DJs, and live bands.
Next Level Entertainment Group is the organizer and has set up the event with a cash bar, and the ability of attendees to pre-order their food. VIP ticketholders will have their own tables and tent, with DJ Oso Fresh on hand to provide the music.
Two live bands and a jazz violinist will also be providing entertainment, along with three other DJs. There will be options for betting on the race, hookah and cigars, and specialty drinks including Moscow Mules, Mint Juleps, and the Black-Eyed Susan.
The party is from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm the day of the Kentucky Derby, which this year is May 6. Laurel Park is on Fort Meade Road. Parking is free and people attending the event are asked to enter through the Carriage Room. The organizer can use flyer printing to create a schedule of events for attendees.
