There will be a hands-on, three-day Mobile Pizzeria training course taking place in Beltsville this May.
It will provide aspiring mobile pizzeria owners with the skills and strategies needed to establish and manage a thriving pizza trailer business. Participants will learn essential techniques, including wood-fired dough preparation using Biga and Poolish, oven management, and proper dough stretching.
Beyond cooking techniques, the class will cover crucial business aspects such as food cost management, kitchen setup, and event marketing. Attendees will gain insights into handling operational challenges, catering large-scale events, and navigating the logistics of a mobile food business. The program will equip participants with the practical wisdom and confidence to run a profitable venture.
The course will be led by Siler Chapman, a four-time world champion pizza acrobat and a founding partner of the World Pizza Champions. Chapman built a successful pizzeria brand across multiple locations in the Carolinas and has been a fixture in the pizza industry for years. His expertise spans both culinary skills and business development, making him a valuable instructor for those looking to enter the mobile food sector.
