Dance event swings into Beltsville

Young dancers in Beltsville will soon have a chance to learn from the best.

Three of the best hip-hop dancers in the local area will be attending the upcoming Rebellion #HipHopAfterDark event, which welcomes dedicated hip-hop dancers who are 14 years of age and older, and who want to push their personal boundaries and perfect their hip-hop skills.

Three expert hip-hop dancers are going to be on hand to give classes. Scotte Blu will lead a session from 8.00 pm until 9.15 pm, then Josh Muse takes over from 9.20 pm until 10.35 pm, and finally, Devin Niosi will be teaching from 10.40 pm until 11.55 pm. Scotte Blu recently moved to the area from Austin, Texas, where she started dancing as a young girl. She is now an instructor at the Let’s Groove Studio, which has locations in several states.

Devin Niosi is a native of Maryland who has been dancing professionally since 2009. He has worked with choreographer such as Kevin Maher, Luther Brown, and Laura Edwards, and his career has taken him around the country and to Canada.

The date of the fun is June 9 at the Making Moves Dance Collective at 5640 Sunnyside Avenue, Suite E, in Beltsville. The event runs from 8.00 pm until midnight and everyone is welcome, with sessions granted on a first come, first served basis. Organizers of this type of event can use poster printing to advertise the program.
