Once again, a local company will be the site of what promises to be a delicious event.
Schmidt Spirits will host Distillery Cocktails-Foundations of Mixology, an educational evening during which attendees will learn mixology basics, and how to use distillery spirits to make scrumptious cocktails.
The event will be held in person, and will teach people how to make the perfect cocktails. Instructions will consider the ways in which stirring, shaking, and mixing the ingredients go together to create specialty drinks. Expert mixologists from the distillery will guide event attendees through the basics of mixology, and teach them techniques they can use to create the type of drinks usually made by an expert.
The event includes instructions on how to mix drinks explained by an expert mixologist, instructions on how to create almost any cocktail, the chance to make two cocktails of two different types, a souvenir whiskey glass, and a coupon for a tasting and a free tour of the distillery.
Schmidt Spirits was founded by Arthur Schmidt, an engineering graduate of the University of Maryland. He has always enjoyed sampling quality spirits, but decided he could do better, He opened the distillery to make the most delicious spirits possible.
The Distillery Cocktails event is scheduled for August 15, from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm. Schmidt Spirits is at 10360 Southard Drive in Beltsville. Instruction sheets are helpful for people attending events like this, and organizers will often create them by using flyer printing.
