Beltsville residents are invited to contribute to a lifesaving cause by participating in the upcoming Luminis Health blood donation event this February.
This initiative offers an opportunity for the community to make a significant difference in healthcare services. All contributions will directly support Luminis Health facilities and patients in need.
Potential donors are encouraged to prepare by incorporating iron-rich foods into their diet at least a week before the event. To be eligible, participants must meet specific requirements, including being between ages 18 and 74. Participants can also be between ages 16 and 17, however, they must have parental consent.
All individuals must be reasonably healthy and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds if they are over the age of 21. Those aged 16 to 20 should consult the donation center staff for tailored weight and height guidelines. A valid form of identification is necessary for all donors.
Organizers stress the importance of arriving well-prepared by eating a complete meal and staying hydrated before donating blood. While walk-ins are welcome, participation is subject to availability, so arriving early is recommended.
Participants can contact 443-481-4215 or check the Luminis Health listing for additional information.
Organizers may utilize poster printing to make the community aware of events such as this one.
This blood drive will be held on Wednesday February 12th from 10 am to 3 pm at 10300 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville, Maryland.
