Residents of Beltsville will have an opportunity to take part in the upcoming Eastern County 8K. It is being held in Silver Spring, a short drive away and is expected to attract a large crowd.
The 2021 theme for the race is “School Spirit.” Participants are encouraged to turn up in sporting apparel of their favorite school teams. The race is going to start at the stripe that can be seen in the road near the playground parking lot when coming from Jackson Road. The runners will turn around when they come to the perpendicular area of the basketball courts, as well as the trails in the woods. The race will finish at the area near the restrooms.
Banners are often use for directional signage at outdoor race events. Banner printing can include information about beginning and ending points, turns, water stations and other pertinent details for participants. Local printing services are available to assist.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the race. More information is available via the event website.
The Eastern County 8K will take place on Saturday, August 21 at 7:30 am at the Martin Luther King Park. The park is located at 1102 Jackson Road.
Registration fees are $15 for people ages 18 and older, or $10 under the age of 18. All participants must register online prior to the race. There will be no onsite registration on the day of the event.
