Remodeled Aldi open again

A Baltimore Aldi store that was recently closed for renovations is open again.

The Aldi located on Fayette Street reopened recently after being updated. The store is one of over 1,300 stores throughout the country that the company plans to remodel and expand by 2020. Aldi’s goal in undertaking this project is to increase the area of the store devoted to fresh food by 40%. In Baltimore, Aldi is updating 13 stores, for an estimated $18m.

The updated location on Fayette Street offers a larger refrigeration area to hold fresh products. In addition, 20% of the products the store is offering are new.

The vice president of Aldi’s Frederick division, Jeff Baehr, said updating the layout will make things even better for patrons. The stores will have more space for shoppers’ favorite products, and the new layout will make it easier to navigate the store. Baehr added he was eager to show Baltimore customers the updated location, as well as continuing to supply high-quality foods at affordable prices, as they expect. Promotional Pens are often distributed at occasions like this to help build brand recognition.

The address of the reopened store is 3250 East Fayette Street, and it is open from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm every day. Aldi is headquartered in Germany, and has been in business under that name since 1946, though the company dates back to 1913.
