Bike riding event to be hosted close to Baltimore

Next month, the Annual Spring Bike Ride is scheduled to make its debut near Baltimore.

Save Our Young (Soy) Baltimore is the host of this cycling event. The organization’s mission is to have youths develop healthy ties to their communities through services, activities, and programs that involve the help of educators, members of law enforcement, and criminal justice professionals.

People of all ages from Baltimore are welcome to participate in the first Annual Spring Bike Ride. Registration is free for children who are 17 years old and younger. Those 18 years of age and older can register for a fee of $20 per individual. When announcing the time and place that an event will occur, the hosts of similar community events utilize methods such as poster printing to create full color, aesthetically pleasing advertisements.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes. Adults who do not own any bikes can rent one for the day at $40 per rental. All participants who have pre-registered online to rent a bicycle must bring a valid ID.

In addition to the bike ride, the event will include activities such as participation in a discussion panel, a caricature artist, and rock climbing.

The first Annual Spring Bike Ride is set to begin at 7:00 am and end at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 3 at the Security Plaza in Woodlawn.
