The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will hold a beer sampling event in October to support its current projects.
OktoBEARfest is a festival held inside the Maryland Zoo where guests can try more than 50 kinds of fall-themed brews. Sampling tickets will allow participants to try unlimited pours during the event, and all visitors will receive a commemorative sampling cup from the zoo. Many bands will be playing at the fest, including Charm City Junction, Stratus Fear, and Guitar Gabby x TxLips. Artisan vendors will also have booths set up inside the zoo for the festival.
The Maryland Zoo will use the money from OktoBEARfest to fund its mission and conservation efforts. The organization’s projects help a variety of animals, such as polar bears, African penguins, and Panamanian golden frogs. People can also assist the zoo’s efforts by becoming a member. Individual memberships to the Maryland Zoo cost $69, and the basic package for two adults and four children can be bought for $159.
The beer-sampling experience will take place on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. General admission costs $65, though people can get a discount by buying their tickets before October 21st or becoming a member of the zoo. Groups that hold seasonal activities such as this may use flyer printing to market their programs to people.
