The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will hold a race in September to benefit several local organizations.
The Robert I. Damie Race for Our Kids is a chip-timed event where people can compete for plaques while supporting several causes. The money earned during the race will support causes like the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics Save-A-Limb Fund, The Family Tree, and the Center for Hope. People can participate in a fundraiser to earn prizes such as umbrellas, beanie hats, and headphones. Participants must raise at least $250 for a prize.
Companies can support the Robert I. Damie Race by becoming sponsors. There are many packages available that go from $1,000 to $25,000. Sponsors get benefits like having their logos featured on Signs throughout the race route, website recognition, and complimentary race entries. The presenting sponsor will receive perks such as displaying their symbols on the racing bibs, free admission to the Maryland Zoo on the event day, and a booth space during the post-race celebration.
The race will be held on Sunday, September 22nd from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Registration for the 10K version of the event is $60 per person, and the 5K race will cost $45 per participant. The single-mile walk for families is $25 to enter. Companies that attend similar races to this can bring Promotional Products to their stalls to engage with racers.
