The daylong festival known as the Faerie Faire is coming to Baltimore.
The celebration will take place in May, and will include a Masquerade Ball the preceding evening.
Among those coming to the festival are a variety of entertainers, including storytellers and musicians, an ambassador from the Goblins, mermaids, and dancers. Visitors can shop with craftspeople and artists, who will have jewelry, wings, flower crowns, wands, soaps, and other items available. Face painters will be on hand to add to the fun, and mere mortals will be allowed to visit the Faerie Queene and her court.
The Faerie Fair takes place May 13 and 14 on the grounds of the Church of the Guardian Angel. The ball will be held the evening before, starting at 8:00 pm, with three bands scheduled to play: the 24-piece Big Band Theory of Baltimore; the belly dance band Brinjal; and the Katydids, who play Appalachian music to dance to.
Tickets for the ball are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Admission to the festival itself, which takes place the next day, is $15, while children aged 3-14 are $5. The fun starts at 11:00 am, and runs until 7:00 pm.
Festival organizers might create colorful Banners with a fairy theme to hang throughout the venue for both the upcoming ball and the festival.Get a Free Quote for Banners
