The city of Baltimore has a proud African American history, something which will be celebrated at this upcoming festival.
With a strong history, Druid Hill Park was one of the first large public parks in Baltimore and the third oldest park in the United States of America. The historic park has 745 acres, making it the perfect location for hosting AFRAM.
AFRAM is considered by many to be one of the most prominent African American festivals on the East Coast. The two-day festival brings together local and international African American artists to celebrate music and culture every year. The festival encourages over 150,000 attendees of all backgrounds to enjoy a wide range of entertainment, delicious food, and activities. When attendees are not watching a performance, they can shop from various African American merchandise vendors or grab a bite to eat from local food vendors. The current AFRAM performance lineup showcases a wide range of genres and will feature Patti Labelle, Teedra Moses, Vedo, and Amerie, on top of various local talent.
While many events like AFRAM focus on the performers, the unique merchants market can also be a fun way to find unique items or souvenirs of the event. Vendors will also sometimes invest in brochure printing to allow attendees to easily find them after the event.
AFRAM will take place from June 21-22, 2025, at Druid Hill Park, Baltimore, MD 21217. Additional information can be found on the festival website.
