The Dream Job X Factor will be hosting the Cover Letter and Resumé Workshop online in Baltimore next month.
This class is designed for jobseekers who are having difficulty finding employment, or who are interested in getting their first jobs, as well as those who are seeking to transition from one job into another. Since employers usually spend only a short time skimming resumés and cover letters, the Cover Letter and Resume workshop is meant to provide students with the tools and strategies that they need to craft more interesting job applications by improving their writing skills.
Some of the key topics this virtual Baltimore workshop will include are what three phrases jobseekers should use, what not to write in a cover letter, how to develop rapport with job recruiters, when to be formal or informal, the basics of properly executed networking, and list of helpful websites. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions after the main topics are covered in the workshop.
