A concert featuring rap artists is scheduled for Baltimore, with all of them performing in their hometown.
Ill Conscious will be at the Baltimore Soundstage with the “Return of the Heavyweight Rhyme Writer” tour. Also on the bill are the Dirt Platoon and Guy Grams.
Baltimore artist Ill Conscious has four mixtapes, two videos, and two albums to his credit. He has been described as combining the best qualities of AZ in the later part of his career, along with Talib Kweli's consciousness and Tupac's way of choosing words.
In an interview, Ill Conscious said he is more concerned with the writing side of hip-hop than with producing, which may be why the word “writer” appears in the tour title.
Dirt Platoon is a Baltimore hip-hop duo, Raf Almighty and Snook da Crook. They often work with Ill Conscious, and have dropped seven albums, including one on which they worked with Ill Conscious and Guy Grams, who is also appearing at this concert.
Grams is also from Baltimore, and is perhaps best known for his talent as a battle rapper – a technique that includes boasting, insults, and bragging, and can be recorded or live. In the past 15 years, Grams has performed thousands of times.
The concert is set for January 9, 2021, at 9:00 pm, at the Baltimore Soundstage. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts to help advertise events like this.
