Baltimore will hold a free outdoor event in September at the Center Plaza to celebrate the lifestyles of vegans.
The Vegan Block Party is an event where people can browse vegan-friendly vendors while enjoying food, games, and live music. Kasaun Tianna will be performing two of her songs during the festival, and DJ entertainment will be provided by DJ Boogie The Gr8 and DJ Shido. The founder and organizer of the event is Brittany Gilliam-Fields, a vegan chef who attends the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
Vendors interested in attending the block party can still apply for a space. Merchants who do not sell cooked items can pay $75, and food vendors may join the festival for $125. Those who offer food items are asked to bring compostable plates, cups, and utensils for their customers. People can also support the Vegan Block Party by volunteering at the festival. Volunteers can help guide attendees to different parts of the event and show guests how to properly dispose of their waste.
The party will be held on Saturday, September 16 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost for people to attend the street fair, and registration is also not needed. Guests are allowed to bring their own plates, utensils, and cups to the event. Those who organize block parties like this may use poster printing services to advertise their celebrations to the community.
