Blue Water Baltimore will be organizing a charitable event in September at Barcocina to raise money for its causes.

Blue Water Bash is a festival where visitors can have fun while supporting their community and local waterways. The party will include a silent auction and live performances. The goal for the event is to raise $125,000, which will be used for purposes like offering environmental education to sixth graders, testing for dangerous bacteria in public waterways, and re-greening a neighborhood in West Baltimore. Food and wine can be bought at the festival.

Blue Water Baltimore is a group aiming to improve the quality of Baltimore’s rivers, streams, and Harbor. The organization was formed in 2010 after five local associations merged. The group monitors water quality for the community, plants trees, advocates for environmental laws, and sells native plants at their nursery. People can volunteer and report pollution to the organization to help its cause. Environmental groups like this can share their purpose with others through brochure printing.

The fundraiser will occur on Saturday, September 18 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Early bird ticket prices will cost people $75 each, while admission for children 12 and under will cost $25. Those who want to help Blue Water Baltimore with their cause can donate money on the organization’s site. Businesses can also sponsor the bash to showcase their logo at the event.
