Baltimore set for an artful month

During much of October, Baltimore City will celebrate the arts with hundreds of activities, with a fair being one of the most eye-catching offerings.

The Free Fall Baltimore event is supported by organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts and the Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Foundation. According to the Free Fall Baltimore website, one of the anticipated events is the Welcome Winter Family Fair.

The fair is free, suitable for people of all ages, and features displays of the works of local vendors and artists, along with games and craft projects. There will also be a winter photo booth that can help visitors begin creating their Holiday Cards.

The highlight of the fair is performances by members of the ‘Cinderella: A Hampden Happily Ever After’ cast. The show will have its world premiere later this year, with funds raised from the performances helping the Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade. At the Welcome Winter event, beverages, food, and an auction will all help raise funds in advance of the December parade.
Organizers could work with a banner printing company to create colorful items to identify the various areas in which vendors and activities are located.

The fair is scheduled for this Saturday, October 4, from noon to 5:00 pm. Although admission is free, visitors are asked to reserve a time to make sure organizers have enough supplies on hand for everyone.
