Baltimore pub set to expand

The popular Baltimore eatery Pickles Pub is planning to expand.

The shop is located in Camden Yards, and the owners will open a doughnut shop and bakery next door to the pub, as well as developing a second location in Dundalk.

Eric Cotton, the majority owner of Pickles Pub, said the company will take over a townhouse currently being used for storage, as well as a catering operation, and install a to-go counter. Patrons will be able to stop in and buy pies and cakes, as well as Pickles' signature doughnuts, which sport a green glaze. They can enter the bakery by a separate entrance, but people will also be able to enter the bakery directly from the pub. They will also be able to order baked goods from their tables.

The bakery is a logical extension of Pickles' operation, since the pub began baking its own pretzels and bread four years ago. The bakery will share the kitchen with the pub, and new Pickles Pubs will also feature doughnut shops.

The Dundalk shop is taking over the property occupied by the Airport Bar and Grill on Riverview Avenue, and will be called Pickles at the Port. Both locations are expected to open in fall, 2018.
