Richmond runners can start 2021 in style, as an event is now open for registration with all ages and abilities are welcome.
The city will be hosting the First Day 4 Miler, and it will help to get 2021 off to a healthy start. This will be the first year that the city has hosted the activity and it has put measures in place to ensure everyone will have a great time without having to worry about COVID-19.
Whether they want to walk, run, or roll their way along the route using a wheelchair, rollator, or other assistive device, everyone is invited to get involved. There will be a special quarter-mile dash organized for the kids, and those who would prefer to take part virtually will be able to do so. There are also a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone who would like to lend a hand.
While this community event is all about having fun, it will also have a larger purpose. It will raise funds for ‘For Those Who Would’, which is a not-for-profit group that helps local people in need. A printer can craft customized finishers medals and other swag for a fundraiser like this, and these can include its Logo Design.
The First Day 4 Miler will be hitting the streets of Richmond on January 1. The staging area for the run and walk will be set up at 500 White Hall Shrine Road.
