Richmond is set to host a gathering that will help to send its kids back to school in style and with all the items they need to find success.
The Back-to-School Bash is a way for the city to kick off another academic year, and the public has been asked to get involved by making a contribution. All help will be appreciated.
The Bash will provide a chance to connect with community vendors, and food, inflatables, games and activities will also be in the mix. Backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed for as long as supplies last.
The Richmond Teen center is running a school supplies drive, and a goal of filling 700 Backpacks to hand out during the Bash has been set. The public can help by dropping off items such as index cards, Pens, markers, crayons, razors, personal care products, loose leaf papers and single subject Notebooks. Monetary contributions will also be welcome, and the collection point for the activity will be the Richmond Parks and Recreation office, which can be found at 345 Lancaster Avenue.
Summer is a popular time for outdoor festivals and other large gatherings. A banner printing company can supply chives for outdoor décor, and booths in single-use and reusable styles are available.
Richmond will be celebrating the start of another academic year on August 6th. The fun is set for Irvine-McDowell Park.
