Richmond race to benefit hearing-impaired community

A friendly competition and fun run that will support the activities of Kentucky Hands and Voices will soon take place in Richmond, with both in-person and virtual options on the agenda.

Now in its fourth year, the SuperHEARo 5k will raise money that will benefit the local hearing-impaired community. Everyone who takes part is encouraged to wear their favorite superhero costume, and T-Shirts and race bibs that sport the fundraiser's Logo Design will be distributed ahead of the event for those who register early.

Anyone who would like to get involved can choose from a 5K run, a one-mile fun walk or run, and a virtual race. The in-person function will take place at White Hall State Historic Site, and the registration fee for the day starts at $15. The registration fee for the online version is $30, and the shirts and race bibs for those who choose this option can be sent to any address in the USA. Donations from anyone who would like to get involved but cannot do so in person will be appreciated, and more details about the race and how to contribute can be found on its website.

This chance to enjoy some fresh air and exercise for a cause will be hitting the road on Saturday, May 29. All support will be welcome.
