While camping season may be in the rear view mirror, a Richmond camping park will still be opening its gates for a weekend of trailering and tenting with a Thanksgiving theme.
Ft. Boonesborough State Park announced that it will be holding a Thanksgiving-themed camping weekend, and it will offer an assortment of traditional activities that have come to be associated with the holiday. It is for registered campers only, and there will be fun for the young and old alike.
The families that take part can enjoy the games and special activities that have been planned, and the free putt-putt range will be open. The staff will organize treasure hunts, and everyone will gather together for a camper's potluck dinner that will feature ham, deep-fried turkey and other dishes. Those interested can arrive and get their site set up on Friday, and the festivities will wrap up on Sunday evening.
A themed event like this that will take place largely outdoors may be a good fit for the services that will be on offer at local banner printing companies. They can utilize a variety of materials that will not be damaged by wind and rain to provide decor.
A Camper’s Thanksgiving will offer autumn adventures from November 10th until November 12th. Its registration system is available on the Kentucky State Parks website.
