Richmond library to see return of swap markets

The Madison County Public Library provides Richmond with services and programming, and one of its most popular initiatives has dates scheduled up until the end of the year.

The library has set the upcoming dates for its Free Market swaps, which turn one person’s trash into someone else's treasure. They are free and in person, and the range of items on offer will change with each instalment.

Those who would like to participate can bring any gently used items that could still be useful to someone else, and in return, they may decide to choose some pieces for themselves. Everything from clothing to pet supplies, garden items, and home decor will be in the mix.

While it will be appreciated if those taking items also drop some off, this is not required. Anyone who would like to contribute a donation can do so an hour ahead of the activity’s scheduled start time, and any materials that remain on site at the end of the day will be passed along to the Friends of Paint Lick Free Store.

The library will be offering this initiative in its Ground Floor Community Room, and it will take place once each month until December. A banner printing company can prepare reusable decor for an ongoing monthly event like this

The next Free Market is scheduled for July 8, and other future dates can be found on the Library’s website.
