Richmond fundraiser to showcase culinary creativity

Both professional and home bakers alike will be putting their creative and culinary skills to the test during a friendly Richmond competition.

A Bit of Whimsy Cakes will be the host for Holiday Bake Off, which will also incorporate a decorating competition. There will be categories for both amateur and pro cake bakers as well as kids, and the activity will be part of the larger Holiday Market at Madison Central High School.

Those who would like to enter the contest can choose from either the “My Favorite Holiday” or the “Is That a Cake?” categories, and a charge of $25 will be in place for each entry. The cakes may be any flavor, and they must all be paired with a card that indicates their flavors and theme. The proceeds from the day will be used to help fund Madison Central Project Graduation 2023.

The entries will each be judged, and the top three placed winners in each category will receive a prize basket that may include Corporate Gifts as well as a special trophy. The awards will be presented to the winners on the day of the event.

This opportunity for local bakers to show off their talents will be held on November 5. Anyone who is interested and would like to find out more is asked to visit its website.
