The gears are turning for the opening of a new, local craft beer brewery in Richmond, called Dreaming Creek Brewery.
The brewery's four owners – Michael Bradley, Charley Hamilton, Taryn Edington and Darrin Wilson – anticipate opening the establishment sometime in the middle of March. The four also own the Richmond Beer House on South Porter Drive.
Wilson expects that the brewery will have a different vibe and atmosphere to the group's bar. It will be pet and family-friendly, offering treats for dogs and board games for people of all ages. Both Wilson and Hamilton will be responsible for brewing the beer, while Bradley will be the taste-tester.
New businesses often use Presentation Folders and other materials when pitching banks and investors for fundraising. The team behind Dreaming Creek Brewery has come up with a modern way to raise the money needed to put the finishing touches on the establishment's location -- crowdfunding.
The owners currently have a Kickstarter campaign up and running. They are hoping to raise $20,000 by the middle of January. The group realized that they needed additional funds while in the midst of remodeling the space that would become the future home of the brewery.
The money raised by the Kickstarter is earmarked for the purchase of fermenters, a crowler machine, and additional brewing and Packaging equipment.
The owners hope that the Kickstarter campaign will help the local community feel invested in and involved with the brewery from the start.
