The winter holiday season often involves giving gifts to others. An organization is hoping that this generosity will keep on going, and that many will choose to give what it considers to be one of the most important gifts of all – the gift of life.
The Kentucky Blood Center will be hosting a blood donor clinic on a number of dates throughout the fall and winter seasons. They will be set up in the Richmond branch of the Madison County Public Library, and the doors will be open to the public to stop by and make a donation from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.
According to the organizer of the blood drive, at least 400 units of blood a day are needed throughout the state, and each donation can make a difference. The entire process takes very little time, and everyone who is above age 17 is welcome to book a time to make a donation. A full listing of the criteria for being a donor can be found on the host’s website, along with many other details about how blood donations are used.
This sort of function can make a big impact, and ensuring that as many potential donors as possible know about it can help to make sure it meets its goals. A poster printing company can lend a hand by creating marketing Posters and other materials, and these can be placed in prominent locations throughout the community.
The Richmond Branch Library is located at 507 W. Main Street in Richmond. It will be hosting blood drives on the second Thursday of the month.
