A Richmond area event will soon be giving the public an opportunity to experience a little slice of the food and culture of Nepal, much closer to home than the Asian nation.
The proceeds of the function will be used to help get a sewing co-op off the ground in Nepal, and all are welcome.
‘A Night in Nepal’ will offer a chance for the public to learn about the nation, which home to Mount Everest, and what makes it unique. The food will be prepared for the occasion by a Nepalese chef, and there will also be performances of both traditional music and dance as well.
Along with the food and entertainment, the attendees will be invited to bid on items in the silent auction and purchase some tickets for the raffle. The items up for grabs will all be fair trade and sourced from A Villager’s Hand, which is a 501c3 registered not-for-profit company.
A function like this can give those who participate a chance to learn more about another country by experiencing its food and culture. Posters, Banners and other signage for the occasion can all be produced by a printing services company.
This opportunity for residents of Richmond to take a culinary and cultural tour of Nepal without having to leave home has been scheduled for August 26. It will be welcoming guests at 212 West Jefferson Street in Berea.
