Richmond residents will have a chance to support regional artists and to shop locally this holiday season.
The Richmond Area Arts Council will host the Holiday Arts Market at the end of the month. The market will take place at the Richmond Area Arts Center on Water Street, and there will be more than 20 crafters and artists setting up shop in the Grand Hall at the Arts Center.
Local arts councils and artists’ guilds can use poster printing to spread the word about their craft fairs and art markets. A variety of pieces and artworks from local crafters and artists will be available for sale. Many of the items are ideal for holiday gifting and range from practical items for the home to lawn art, and from fashion accessories and clothing to Books. A few of the items that will be for sale include pottery, baskets, and jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Along with physical items, several artists will also be offering their time. A few artists are selling watercolor and painting classes, for example.
The goal of the Richmond Area Arts Council is to provide access to art for people of all ages. In addition to its Holiday Arts Market, the council supports a variety of arts programming throughout the year, ranging from performances to educational programs.
The arts market is free and open to the public on November 29, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm
