Campers Thanksgiving planned for Richmond

Summer may be over in Richmond, but there is still time to say a fond farewell to the 2020 camping season.

Fort Boonesborough State Park wants campers to register to be part of an upcoming celebration. It will include fun for both kids and adults, and it will even feature a Thanksgiving-themed feast.

The weekend will be filled with activities, and the site’s heated recreation room will give the campers an area where they can enjoy games and other festivities in comfort. The putt-putt course will be open, and the schedule also includes free tours of the site. The celebration will be capped off with a potluck dinner that will feature Thanksgiving favorites such as ham and deep-fried turkeys, and it will be a time for the campers to join together one last time before the snow flies.

This sort of festive event often calls for themed decor, and a banner printing company will have lots of options to choose from. Its staff will be able to create Banners that are intended for single use or that can be used over and over.

This final farewell to the 2020 camping season will kick off on November 6. Anyone with questions is asked to contact jack.winburn@ky.gov.
