In just a few days, Lexington residents and surrounding community residents will have the opportunity to start the holiday season, as the Kentucky Horse Park continues in its tradition and celebrates its 15th Annual Southern Lights Stroll.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Kentucky Horse Park in which participants view a spectacular display of Christmas lights while competing in a 5K race.
Though the participants race each other in this competitive event, it is a three-way friendly race in which some contestants may choose to run, walk, or stroll. Even strollers and the family dog are welcome in the event.
Event organizers might benefit from Banners that mark the course and enhance presentation, as well as printed memorabilia. Shirts will be available, but only for the first 1,000 adults that register. Children who are ages 7 through 12 cannot get a shirt unless they are registered as adults.
In conjunction with the event, a food drive is also held for the benefit of some local animal shelters, so participants are asked to bring nonperishables. On the park’s main campus, the event will also feature other holiday attractions that include model train displays, a petting zoo, holiday craft vendors, and an appearance from Santa Claus.
It all happens next Friday, November 17, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.Get a Free Quote for Banners
